Timas and Hafar to start work on pipeline project

Indonesia's home-grown offshore contractors Timas Suplindo and Hafar Marine are set to mobilise vessels from October 2015 for their first piggyback pipeline installation contract on the Eni-operated Jangkrik gas development off East Kalimantan. Timas and Hafar are acting as subcontractors to the Malaysian unit of Technip, which was awarded the subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines (Surf) installation contract for the Jangkrik project, including work on the 75km export pipeline. Gas from Jangkrik will be exported via a 24in trunkline, on which a second four-inch pipeline will piggyback to transport associated condensate produced from the field to shore.
