Vallianz expanding its global footprint

Vallianz will be taking delivery of 13 vessels from 2015 through 2016, and its chief executive officer, Darren Yeo, says the ultimate goal is to build or acquire 15 to 20 more offshore support vessels (OSVs) after 2016 to effectively double the current 35-strong fleet. Vallianz has already absorbed 21 vessels from Swiber Offshore's fleet by taking over a 50 per cent stake in an OSV joint venture with Saudi Arabia-based Rawabi Holding. At the time of writing, Vallianz was about to acquire another 49 per cent interest that Swiber Offshore holds in the Indonesian OSV subsidiary PT Swiber Berjaya. The acquisition, which will see the transfer of 18 Indonesia-flagged vessels to Vallianz's fleet, is in line with the intent of parent company Swiber Holdings to consolidate the OSV business under Vallianz.
