Russia's Shallow Draft Icebreaking AHTS Vessels launched by ATLAS Shipyard

On 8th of June 2021, ATLAS Shipyard (Republic of Turkey) launched M/Tug POLUS (ПОЛЮС), 73.3 m Shallow Draft Icebreaking Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessel, for their clients; ARK SHIPPING & ADAMANT LLC. The Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessel will have a total deadweight of 1,640 tons, ahead bollard of 70 tons, a breadth of 16.9 m and design draft of 3.80 m. She has been under class of RINA and with new building number of 017. She's also sister of its previous series, NB 016 (POLAR). A triple (3 × 1,740 kW) SCHOTTEL CP shaft propeller system is driven by 3 × MAN 12V 175D-MH diesel engines. Electrical capacity is generated by 3 × 262 kW, MAN LINDENBERG D 2676 LE 322 and 1 × 165 kW, SCANIA DI09 074M diesel generators. She's equipped with CARGOFLEXX, 132 m3 dry bulk + 224 m3 Mud/Rec. Oil system and the vessel is capable of providing DP features, which is supplied by NAVIS.
