April saw ship owners continuing to dispose of old vessels aged 25 years and above. The Pacific Dart 4,200 bhp AHTS has been acquired by Kenya-based Comarco Mauritius from Swire Pacific. The 1981-built vessel has been renamed Talon, and is now under the operation of Kenya Marine Contractors, serving the East African market. Golden Energy Offshore sold the UT705 Energy Girl to India-based vessel owner Hind Offshore International, while Shipping Corporation of India sold the SCI-05 to an undisclosed buyer. Egyptian owner Red Sea Marine Services also sold the Red Sea Polk 6,140 bhp AHTS to CMI Offshore Limited. The 1982-built vessel had been mobilised from Egypt to Turkey for delivery to its new owner in late March.
