The US Gulf offshore support vessel (OSV) market continues to feel the effects of the downturn in shelf activity. OSV day rates in the US Gulf of Mexico have fallen even further. Rates for some PSVs less than 200 feet (61m) in length have dropped to USD 4,500. In May, sources talked of rates below USD 4,800, but nothing was confirmed. It is unclear where the bottom of the market might be.
