GE Energy Financial Services, a unit of General Electric, has agreed to invest $150 million in a partnership with Houston-based ATP Oil & Gas Corp. that will own and operate the ATP Innovator, a floating oil and gas production unit in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico.rnSubject to completion of customary closing conditions, GE Energy Financial Services will invest US$150 million for a 49 percent limited partnership stake in ATP Innovator. ATP will hold the remaining 51 percent stake and serve as managing partner.rnATP Innovator processes up to 20,000 b/d of oil and 100 MMcf/d of natural gas for supply via pipeline to the U.S. market. The unit has been in operation since March 2006 and produces ATP reserves from the Gomez Hub. ATP will also use the unit to handle production from the Anduin development at Mississippi Canyon Block 755 and the Gladden development at Mississippi Canyon Block 800. The partnership plans to process additional reserves from a third party producer by 2010.
