New dual backscatter/sidescatter turbidity probe with antifouling features

Campbell Scientific is pleased to announce the new OBS500 Dual Turbidity Probe with Antifouling. The new probe combines a backscatter sensor (better at measuring high turbidity) with a second sidescatter sensor (better at measuring lower turbidity) and multiple antifouling methods to provide accurate measurements in biologically active water. The OBS500 incorporates the CleanSensorTM Antifouling Method (patent pending) to ensure the accuracy of its measurements. The CleanSensorTM method uses a shutter/wiper mechanism to protect and clean the optics.
