Obama administration announces steps toward leasing for offshore wind projects in mid-Atlantic

Echoing President Obama's State of the Union call for an "all of the above" energy strategy, the Department of the Interior marked a major milestone for offshore wind energy along the Atlantic coast. Secretary of the Interior, Ken Salazar, and Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) Director, Tommy P.
