Petrobras finds oil in post-salt Espirito Santo basin off Brazil

Petrobras has discovered a new heavy oil accumulation (15 degrees API) in the post-salt layer of the Espirito Santo basin. The well was drilled on the Grana Padano structure in 3,963ft of water in the BM-ES-24 concession (Block ES-M-661), 36mi offshore Vitoria and 40mi from the Golfinho field.
