A cambridgeshire shopkeeper has been fined £1,000 for failing to have the legally required liability insurance from which employees can claim compensation if they are injured or made ill by their work.rnDipak Solanki was asked to produce a current Employers' Liability Compulsory Insurance (ELCI) certificate when an environmental health officer from South Cambridgeshire District Council visited his store in April 2009. He could not present a certificate and so was issued with a "Notice to Produce".
