Bright future for vision test

Researchers working on a study to identify methods for the accurate assessment of colour vision in trainee pilots have developed a new test which can not only identify the severity of any deficiency but can also indicate whether someone meets the minimum vision requirements for flight safety.rnAround eight per cent of men and less than one per cent of women have some form of colour vision deficiency. This includes either red-green colour deficiency, which can vary in severity, or the rarer yellow-blue colour deficiency that affects around one person in 20,000.
