摘要

Mad dogs and Englishmen go ut in the midday sun. Noel coward made up a song about it so it must be true. The sun in the song is clearly a much fiercer beast than the watery shadow which reluctantly graces our so called English summers. And to make matters worse this irresponsible behaviour took place in the total absence of a heat stress risk assessment. The song helps explain why some of the more thermally exacting regions of the British Empire were designated the "white man's grave." If only these Englishmen and their cognitively challenged canine chums had taken note of the control measures adopted by those native to those regions.
