Fishing vessel safety must improve, says MAIB

More needs to be done to improve the safety record of small fishing vessels, says the Marine Accident Investigation Branch (MAIB) in its 2011 annual report published in July. In all, 24 fishing vessels were lost during the year, ten more than in 2010 and the highest number recorded by MAIB since 2005.
