The International Chemical Secretariat (ChemSec) is a non-profit organisation founded in 2002, which is working towards a goal of a toxic-free environment by 2020. The ChemSec website has information on hazardous chemicals and the guiding principles that the Secretariat says can help eliminate their use, including substituting toxic substances for less harmful alternatives.
