The 9-15 June is Diabetes Week; an annual awareness and fundraising initiative organised by the charity Diabetes UK. The theme of this year's event is research, with supporters being encouraged to raise money to help fund pioneering diabetes research. A free Diabetes Week pack is available to order online, which contains a guide, posters, a coin box and sponsorship form. Healthcare professionals are also being invited to take part in the week by downloading posters to display in the workplace. As well as an outline of the initiative and a range of free resources, the Diabetes Week mini-site also provides information on the charity's research history.
