The Health and Safety Executive's Agriculture health and safety website is packed with guidance on farming, which is the industry sector with the highest rate of fatal injury in the UK: around 18 times higher than the all industry rate. As well as tips for those new to health and safety, a bank of frequently-asked questions and pages for news and events, guidance is split into sections for safety and health topics. Safety topics includes key issues such as farm vehicles, machinery, work at height, livestock and electricity, while the Heath topics area covers manual handling, respiratory disease, zoonoses, COSHH, pesticides, veterinary medicines, noise and vibration.
