RoSPA hosts free 'safer by design' workshop

The event will be a hands-on, discussion led, workshop for alt those involved with the design of new-build homes. Early adopters of the new framework, including Berkeley Group and Orbit Homes, will be sharing their experiences of implementing Safer by design, covering both private and social housing, and TP Bennett will provide a designer's perspective. With more than 6,000 accidental deaths each year due to injuries sustained in the home environment, our homes are statistically the most dangerous place to be. But it doesn't have to be this way. Low-cost, evidence-based changes to house design can have massive implications for the safety, health and wellbeing of residents.
