The number of people reporting work-related ill health remains a concern; however, HSE has made considerable progress through a combination of awareness raising, communication, inspection and enforcementrn2. HSE agrees that duty holders need to do more to meet their legal obligations in occupational health; however, overly prescriptive measures by the health and safety regulator does not necessarily achieve better compliance.
