Up to 30% of the UK population could experience influenza-like illness following infection with the A(H1N1) strain - so-called swine flu -by next May, according to the latest planning assumptions from the DoH.The health department says that double that figure may eventually be infected, though many people will show no, or insignificant, symptoms.
