The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) is consulting on a new draft code of practice on how organisations should protect individuals' privacy online.rnThe draft covers all uses of personal information collected online and, while its principal objective will be to promote fair use of data used in marketing and retail, it will have employment implications, such as the completion of online application forms. For occupational health services, it will cover the completion of web-based pre-employment health questionnaires and declarations, and the retention of online health records.
