摘要

Money is tight, and any employer who plans to stay solvent will think hard before spending. Employers need a return on every investment. But, having invested in hiring and training their employees, some employers do not follow through to maximise their employees' engagement, performance and productivity. One way of doing this is for employers to actively manage occupational health and safety (OH&S). OH&S is proven to benefit businesses as part of the recruitment and retention package, by helping employers reduce business risks from workplace accidents; preventing ill health and getting employees fit for work sooner; making reasonable adjustments to the role or workplace; and managing employees when they are unable to work.
