WORK-RELATED ILL HEALTH

Nearly half a million (497,000) workers in Britain were made ill by their work in 2018/19, statistics released by the HSE reveal~1. Including those with a long-standing condition, the number of workers with work-related ill health is now estimated at 1.4 million. An estimated 23.5 million working days in 2018/19 were lost as a result of work-related ill health.
