For me—a personrnwho promotes positive self-esteem and confidence—therntitle was a bit unsettling. However, once I read past the firstrnfew pages, I found the content refreshing. Today, manyrnmulti-sport texts are written by elite athletes and aimed atrnimproving optimal performance. This book takes a contrastingrnapproach, by sharing the experiences of someone whornwas out of shape and trying to get involved in the oftenrnintimidating sport of triathlon (swim, bike, and run). In brief,rnthis book provides the unique perspective of an unfit personrnjoining a multi-sport community.
