DARHT NEARS FIRST DUAL-AXIS SHOT

Los Alamos National Laboratory will perform its first two-axis experimental shot at the Dual Axis Radiographic Hydrotest Facility (DARHT) within the next several weeks, according to a lab spokesman. "While beam quality is currently very good, our technical folks think they can up the beam quality," lab spokesman Kevin Roark said. "Even though we could in all likelihood shoot next week, it'll probably be a few weeks before we go because we're highly motivated to get the best quality data we can get."
