The Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board (DNFSB) is sending two of its technical staffers on new assignments to thernNational Nuclear Security Administration’s Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tenn.rnMatthew Duncan will become Oak Ridge resident inspector on Aug. 20, while Brandon Weathers will become an OakrnRidge resident inspector in December, the independent nuclear health-and-safety watchdog announced in separate pressrnreleases.rnDuncan, a DNFSB technical staffer since 2000, was previously technical staff lead for safety oversight at sites including:rnthe Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California; Sandia National Laboratories in New Mexico and California;rnthe Transuranic Waste Facility at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico; the Uranium Processing Facility atrnY-12; National Nuclear Security Administration tritium facilities at three locations; and the Salt Waste Processing Facilityrnat the Savannah River Site in South Carolina.
