NRC to Hold Two Hearings Next Week on Diablo Canyon Operations

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission will hold two public meetings next week, on June 29, to discuss issues regarding the Diablo Canyon nuclear plant near San Luis Obispo, Calif.rnThe NRC staff will hold an informal open house from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. so experts can answer questions on Diablo's safety performance and on issues such as seismology, security, public radiation safety and license renewal.rnFrom 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. the staff will hold a town-hall style meeting that includes a period when members of the public can speak informally with NRC staff.
