WCS Presents Andrews County With First Fee Payment

Waste Control Specialists (WCS), LLC, a subsidiary of Valhi, Inc., has presented Andrews County with its first payment representing the county's fee for disposal operations at the Texas Compact Low Level Radioactive Waste Disposal facility in the county. William Lindquist, chief executive officer of Waste Control Specialists, presented a check for $630,000 to Andrews County commissioners on Sept. 5. Lindquist expressed the company's thanks to the county and its residents for "their years of support," which he said was reaffirmed when the county passed a $75 million bond issue that provided the financing for the facility.
