DOE Publishes First RODs for Tank Closure, Waste Management at Hanford Nuclear Site

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has published the first in a series of records of decision (RODs) for tank closure and waste management at the Hanford Nuclear Site in Washington State. DOE) also announced it is extending its contract with Mission Support Alliance (MSA) for infrastructure and site services at the Hanford by three years. The initial ROD is for the "Final Tank Closure and Waste Management Environmental Impact Statement for the Hanford Site" in Richland, and was prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act.
