Source term removal results at V. C. Summer

摘要

Contemporary management at U.S. nuclear power plants drives cost reductions through the continuous examination of those processes that impede maximizing the economic operation of the station. Outage duration, fuel duty and performance, worker productivity, and radioactive source term are critical elements of those processes. The purpose of this article is to present an overview of the source term reduction initiatives at South Carolina Electric & Gas Company's V. C. Summer nuclear station.
