Bob Casey (D., Pa.) and Rep. Adam Schiff (D., Calif.). According to the lawmakers, the Nuclear Trafficking Prevention Act (S. 1464 and H.R. 3244) would bolster efforts to deter and prevent nuclear material from falling into the hands of terrorists, would make it easier to prosecute international nuclear traffickers in U.S. courts, and would strengthen penalties for trafficking in nuclear material.
