You need to drive from your house to downtown. You back out of your driveway, head to the corner, and you see that the road you usually turn left onto is closed due to a sudden sinkhole. So you turn right instead and try the back way. When you reach the bottom of the hill, you see that your side of the two-lane road is blocked because workers are trimming trees that have grown over the power lines.rnA worker in a hard hat is holding a red flag and a stop sign. You wait while three dozen cars pass toward you in the open lane. Then the worker turns her sign around to read "slow." You and the dozens of motorists behind you crawl to the left side of the road and through the tree-cutting zone.
