NUMEX winning entry allows retrieval of foreign objects from steam generators

The 2011 NUMEX Excellence in Nuclear Maintenance Award was won by a team from the Paks nuclear power plant in Hungary (AW, June 2011, p. 78). The NUMEX trophy is awarded by the Nuclear Maintenance Experience Exchange (NUMEX), an association of nuclear plant maintenance managers, engineers, and technicians, to promote innovation, teamwork, and excellence in the maintenance of nuclear power plants. The competitors present their work to a jury made up of fellow maintenance managers who assess the presentations based on four main criteria: teamwork, innovation, applicability, and safety culture.
