NSA works with EPM, acquires Omicron assets

Engineering Planning and Management (EPM) and Nuclear Safety Associates (NSA) announced on December 21 that they are working jointly to offer customers services to address seismic hazards and risk assessment. The joint effort would assist with responses to an anticipated generic letter from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission on Generic Issue 199, on seismic hazard estimates in the central and eastern United States. The two companies are not merging or combining their activities in any other way and have not formed a separate company to offer seismic services, but this venture does build on a joint marketing agreement between the two companies to offer comprehensive services to improve facility response plans and to mitigate health and economic consequences of severe accidents.
