John Garrity: Consistency and communication

John Garrity has been with the Tennessee Valley Authority as general manager of outage planning and execution for its nuclear fleet only since June of last year, but he has brought with him all of the experience he should need: 10 years with Stone & Webster Engineering, followed by 23 years with Exelon, primarily at the utility's two-unit Quad Cities nuclear power plant in Cordova, Ill. He held a variety of positions during his tenure there, including outage manager, work management director, and maintenance director. He also earned his certification as a boiling water reactor operator at Quad Cities.
