Framework agreement reached with P5+1 countries

A framework agreement setting out the key parameters for a comprehensive deal in regard to Iran's nuclear program was concluded during the latest round of negotiations between Iran and the P5+1 group (the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council-China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States-plus Germany), as well as the European Union. This milestone was reached during talks held March 26-April 2 in Lausanne, Switzerland.
