Cameco suspends operations at McArthur River and Key Lake

Cameco Corporation announced on November 8 that because of continued low uranium prices, it will suspend uranium production at the McArthur River mining and Key Lake milling operations in northern Saskatchewan by the end of January 2018. As a result of the suspension of operations, which is expected to last 10 months, 845 workers will be temporarily laid off.
