Pilot line for TRISO-X fuel dedicated at ORNL

X-energy hosted a ceremony on February 27 to dedicate the TRISO-X fuel fabrication pilot line at the Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). The ceremony was attended by leaders from X-energy and ORNL and included remarks by Rep. Chuck Fleischmann (R., Tenn.). "The development and production of fuel is an essential step to the deployment of advanced nuclear reactors," Fleischmann said. "This pilot facility is a partnership between DOE and X-energy, capitalizing on taxpayer-funded investment."
