Final Environmental Management Plan Approved for Vimy Resources' Mulga Rock Project

ASX-listed Vimy Resources Limited has announced that the Above Ground Tailings Storage Facility Monitoring and Management Plan has been approved by Western Australia's (WA) Department of Water and Environmental Regulation, which is the final approval of all Condition Environmental Management Plans required by Ministerial Statement 1046. Vimy is moving toward project readiness and is preparing for early work in the second half of this year. The company noted there are three WA Government departmental approvals under assessment that are a prerequisite to these activities: the Mining Proposal, Project Management Plan (including Radiation Management Plan), and the Mine Closure Plan. Vimy expects these to be approved before June 2021, with site-based works to commence shortly thereafter.
