摘要

In this article, possible ways for production of ~(173)Lu and other radioactive nuclides for their use as radiation sources for crack detectors in gamma defectoscopes are considered. Comparative characteristics of sources based on ~(75)Se and ~(173)Lu are given. Isotope ~(173)Lu can be produced by two ways: either by a primary beam of medium energy protons or by fast neutron irradiation with proton-driven neutron target according to the reaction ~(173)Lu(n,3n)~(173)Lu. Estimation of isotope container activation under production of ~(173)Lu has been made.
