摘要

Since the issue of contamination on transport assets came to light in May 1998, and the subsequent suspension of transports of nuclear fuel, from Germany to the UK and France, the nuclear industry has undergone a fundamental review. This has been further compounded by a change in the political landscape in Germany with the election of a Socialist/Green government in September 1998.
