Load Factors To End June 2008

There were a total of 387 nuclear units for which data was available and which had completed 12 months operation to the end of June 2008. Cernavoda 2 does not join the main table until the end of September quarter. These generated 2451.6TWh during the previous 12 months, making their lifetime total 54056.3TWh. This was achieved with an overall average annual load factor of 76.0%, and an average lifetime load factor of 71.9%, an increase over the last quarter of both load factors. The 425 units which are included in Tables 1 and 2 (including the "not availables") represented a total of 387,914MWe installed capacity and 10,511.8 reactor years of nuclear power production. The quarter was a landmark for lifetime performance figures.
