Challenge and opportunity

As I look at the content of this issue, I notice how the articles reflect some of the challenges currently faced by the nuclear industry: the perception of radiation, the ability of nuclear power to compete with other generation sources, decommissioning, and ageing infrastructure (in particular research reactors). First, there is the vast and pressing need for our industry to improve the perception of radiation.
