Fukushima update

Levels of radioactive contamination in fish caught off the east coast of Japan remain raised; a sign that the Daiichi power plant continues to be a source of pollution more than a year after the nuclear accident. Sampling of aquatic animals near the Fukushima Daiichi site has revealed various levels of contamination, with about 40 per cent of fish caught regarded as unfit for humans under modified Japanese regulations.
