European utilities plan to publish revised LWR guidelines

A group of European utilities that produced common specifications for Generation III light water reactors says it will release an "in-depth" revision of the guidelines in the middle of 2012. The European electricity producers involved in the European Utility Requirements (EUR) document said its existing LWR guidelines are today "fully operational, well recognised by nuclear industry stakeholders and have been used extensively both in Europe and in other countries worldwide".
