UK needs more nuclear R&D capabilities and expertise

The House of Lords Science and Technology Select Committee has published its report on Nuclear Research and Development Capabilities The report notes that the Select Committee does not believe that "the UK has sufficient R&D capabilities and associated expertise to be able to cope with the current nuclear programme up to 2050, let alone a significantly extended programme.
