Developing project management skills for nuclear construction

摘要

Substandard capability at any level has the potential to dramatically affect a major project; the safety, cost and complexity of nuclear projects requires the highest quality of project management. The work carried out to date has crystallised a number of key areas. These require substantial further work to elicit robust solutions, such as the IUK Routemap, but illustrate that skills in programme management, project management and project controls are both crucial across the nuclear sector and inextricably linked to wider issues of organisation, culture, human resources and client/contractor relationships.
