UK civil nuclear mission to USA National Laboratories

In 2014 the UK Science and Innovation Network (SIN) secured a grant to organise a delegation of UK civil nuclear researchers to visit the USA in order to explore potential areas for future civil nuclear research collaborations between the UK and USA. The SIN is co-funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS). It seeks to: 1. influence science and innovation policies of governments, industry and academia to benefit the UK; 2. improve UK policy based on international experience and emerging opportunities and issues; 3. encourage high-level science co-operation to benefit the UK and achieve wider policy objectives; and 4. make best use of international technology co-operation and investment to grow UK innovation potential.
