Liquid effluent treatment research and development at BNFL Sellafield

This paper outlines the liquid effluent treatment scheme at BNFL's Sellafield site. Current practices are discussed, with an emphasis on the ongoing research and development programme for the continued reduction of radioactivity discharged to the environment.
