摘要

We are now fast approaching the Government's latest deadline for leaving the European Union. While not wishing to comment on the rights and wrongs of the issue in general, there is no douht that the situation we have found ourselves in over the past three years has had an enormous impact across society as a whole. If one looks back at how the nuclear landscape has changed since 2016 it's astonishing. While progress continues to be made at Hinkley Point C, work has ceased at both Wylfa Newydd and Moorside, expected announcements about AMR and SMR development have been delayed and large numbers of people have left the industry. Clearly not all of this is Brexit-related. But the distraction caused, particularly within Whitehall, has clearly had an impact.
