The problem of choosing spread-spectrum orthogonal signals for a signal processor based on a sur- face-acoustic-wave convolver intended for an air interface of a spread-spectrum code-time division multiple- access system is considered. The locally orthogonal spectrum-spreading Gold sequences, which are compatible with the GSMK modulation employed in the GSM-900/DCS-1800 standard, are studied. The optimal design of a demodulator to provide multiple access with a tolerable signal-to-interference ratio in the integrated GSM/CTDMA air interface is found.
